FARO, ALGARVE
By car, vilamoura is about 35/40 minutes away. There are plenty of options for transfers from the airport and lots of car hire companies which are based just outside the airports arrival doors.
We would recommend getting a car for your stay! Whilst there is one beach in Vilamoura itself (it's quite large and touristy), there are SO many lovely beaches and coves to explore along the coastline. We get a car for every trip and always discover something new. We'd recommend exploring deals through Sixt, Avis and Europcar as we have used them before and they have English speaking kiosks at Faro airport for easy pick up when you land.
The Pick Up Point
VILAMOURA MARINA
The location of the ceremony is TOP SECRET - we want you all to relax and feel like you're on own adventure for the day. We have organised a a pick up point in Vilamoura marina itself (specifics will be confirmed nearer the time) where we will whisk you away for the day!
We suggest staying somewhere nearby so you are near the pick up point, as this will also be the drop off point in the early hours after we party!

The Domes, Algarve
Really good LOCATION, on the edge of the marina, near all the bars & restaurants (you can tumble into bed!) Price - ON THE MORE EXPENSIVE SIDE, REALLY LOVELY HOTEL AND LUXURIOUS. 
The Hilton Hotel
Location - Lovely hotel in the Old Village area, nestled in amongst the golf courses. 5 minute taxi to the marina (ubers are VERY cheap also here). Price - REASONABLE 
As Cascatas Resort & Spa
Location - Part of the Hilton complex, these are residential apartments. You can still make use of the join pools and facilities, but these are self catered. Price - REASONABLE*Gavin, James and I stayed here last year when venue hunting and it was really peaceful and homely. 
Tivoli, Vilamoura Marina
Location - Really good, on the other side of the marina from Domes, near all the bars & restaurants (you can also tumble into bed here!). Whilst we've never stayed here, we have only heard good things. Price - REASONABLE
Airbnb Location
The Old Village
Our favourite place to stay in Vilamoura... This area has a small supermarket, pools, a couple of restaurants - very peaceful, family friendly and laid back.
If you're not looking for a hotel, but want to be near the marina / nightlife AND the golf courses - this is the perfect location. Lots of Airbnb's are available in this area which are really well priced.
